Amazing. Classic. And now with jaw-dropping graphics. Is there anything else to say about it?

Best of the series, for me I mean, a rlly beautiful story!!

TLDR: Quality title. Fun job system with lots of customization. Final Fantasy Vs story is lazy, campy, but still strangely enjoyable, like fan fiction done by a funny elementary school student. I liked it, despite its shortcomings. The game is fun, also. It gives you the job system to customize your group, the bosses pose a fair challenge, theres a good amount of extra hidden stuff to find and some tough ultra-bosses for keeners to take down at games end. Therere also other smart little touches, like being able to just hit a save button that pops up @ save points which spares you the bother of having to go through menus every time you wanna save. Square put a bit of work into the title, too. The controls work in 360 degrees rather than eight directions, and the maps have been changed to accommodate that. That can make for some frustrating areas, like getting caught on corners in narrow passages or having to fumble through poison bush patches that were easily traversed with a d-pad. The nuisances are few though, and the touch controls feel great after you play for a bit. The auto battle is broken. It seems to follow FFXIIIs philosophy where they thought that players wanted a game that would play itself for them. If you pick auto-battle, your group will cast magic for you, depleting your MP, and/or just toss potions carelessly, even at group members with full HP.

Keep starting from the beginning, cant beat the lady on the ghost boat. They not strong enough, pls help,or can I change for an equal priced game.. Thank you Help

There are simply no words to describe the majesty of this game. Believe it or not I am actually fighting to hold back tears at this very moment as I am writing this review. Yes. The game is that good. I just beat the main story last night and I gotta say I have NEVER been so viscerally and emotionally invested in a game quite like this, at least not since I was a little kid. That is why this FF journey I have embarked on over the past several months has been the best psychologic and nostalgic medicine I have ever had. Several months back I set out on a quest to purchase and complete all the FF games in the App Store, and as of last month I have purchased them all. (Except for dimensions but whatever haha). As of last night I officially beat FF 5, so that means so far I have completed 1-5. I am at the end of FF4: the after years, and Im close to the end of tactics but that game is harder than a mother. Although I have defeated the main storylines in 1-5 I still have all the extra and secret stuff to conquer...but all of that will come in due time. For instance the 5 super bosses in FF5. I am currently farming for the dragon lances and coral rings necessary to take down the mighty Shinryu...boy I have a long way to go

It appears the graphics here are being stretched slightly vertically after updating from iOS 9 to 10 on iPhone 6s. This is apparent in the text ok menu screens.

i love this game, i loved it since childhood, however, the music for it couldve been better, like the GBA version. ^^; dont get me wrong, i like the current version of music of the game... but it could give you the option of switching between SNES ver. and GBA. for music.

Running iOS 10 on iPhone 5se I love the game I have for years but I have no sound for some reason.

Im a fan of Final Fantasy and it had been so long since I played V that I didnt even remember it. I was a little skeptical about playing it on iOS and worried it wouldnt be the same. At first, it takes a little getting used to the system and polished graphics but you get used to it. This game is amazing! The story is awesome, the music is great. The auto save feature is wonderful. It did glitch out on me just a couple of times but my data was always safe. I really enjoyed this port. Nicely done, Square-Enix!!!

Initially gave one star because sound wouldnt work. After a google search, learned that silent switch cant be on. Great game otherwise.

One of my favorite final fantasy now out on ios. Beautyful graphics, nice story. I love what they do with the game.

Ive been waiting anxiously for this gem to be released on the iOS. I highly recommend it to every RPG fan out there!

Honestly? A status bar and blank bottom bar? Why not just actually support the iPhone 5 instead of such a lazy solution. For $16 I expect much better. No iCloud save support or any way to transfer saves between devices. I could forgive that for FFIV as that was in development before those features existed but its just inexcusable for a game released in April 2013 that they charge $16 for to have such shoddy workmanship. 1 star.

Finally a good quality port of a FF title on IOS... After only 15 min of play you will see a lot of details that were brought to this version that prove the polish that the dev. invested for this title. Good job! First time I enjoy an FF tile on IOS.

Very good game.

Its great, as expected! Ive loved this game since I was a child and this definitely does it justice. My only beef is the battle commands window: the scrolling is sketchy.

Not bad but expensive. Square I wish you would realize these games are not worth 15$ if you would price them lower say like 5 or 10 dollors Im sure you would sell more. I do however like the upgraded sprites but thats about all I see thats changed.you get 90 something achievements so lots of game time if your an achievement hunter.still wish it was cheaper .....4 stars would be 5 but the price ......
